Lingua Sacra is a mobile application for learning Ecclesiastical Latin. The App provides lessons, vocabulary exercises, prayers, and related educational content. The App is designed to work offline, with optional online features including account creation, cloud sync, study groups, and daily challenges.
Creating an account is optional. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
You agree to use the App only for its intended educational purpose. You agree not to:
Group features allow users to form study groups and view shared leaderboards. Group members can see one another's display names, XP, streaks, and lesson progress. By joining a group, you consent to sharing this information with other group members. Group creators may have administrative abilities within their group.
The App, its design, code, curriculum, and original content are the intellectual property of Lingua Sacra. Liturgical texts, prayers, and scripture passages included in the App are in the public domain. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App's proprietary content without written permission.
The Latin instruction provided by Lingua Sacra is intended for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all translations, grammatical explanations, or cultural notes are free from error. The App is not a substitute for formal academic instruction or authoritative liturgical resources.
We may update, modify, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time. Offline features will continue to function regardless of server availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to online features.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Upon termination, your cloud-synced data will be deleted, but local data on your device will remain until you uninstall the App.
Lingua Sacra is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
